01

The game looks better — and runs smoother

A new top graphics level, a reworked world (terrain, grass, paths), and lots of optimization. No monster PC required: every level runs better than before.

New "Insane" level New

Above Ultra, with everything maxed out. And if things slow down, the game softens the picture slightly on its own instead of stuttering, then sharpens it back up.

See details

What you'll see

  • The terrain and grass are redone: more realistic dirt paths, livelier grass, loose rocks on the cliffs.
  • New materials: bark, fabric, metal and rock finally have real texture.
  • You can tune each detail separately (just the grass, just the shadows…).
  • v0.33.1 fixes the last issues: no more frozen patches of screen, no more stutter at launch.
02

Every spell has its own look

Before, lots of spells looked the same. Now 296 abilities each have their own look and their own sound.

296 spells, restyled New

Every projectile keeps its own look from cast to impact, with a different hit depending on the magic (fire, frost, shadow…) and marks left on the ground.

See details

What you'll feel

  • Hits have punch: the picture pauses for a split second on impact.
  • Your character glows while casting and under buffs.
  • Every spell now has its own sound, and female character voices have been recorded.
03

No more killing stuck mobs

The well-known trick: climb a rock or a ledge, the mob gets stuck below, and you kill it risk-free. That's over.

A stuck mob goes home Mobs

If it really can't reach you for 5 seconds, it gives up: it walks back to its camp, heals back to full, and you lose its loot.

See details

Worth knowing

  • It works on bosses too: a stuck boss = fight cancelled.
  • No cheating: stuns and roots don't reset the timer — they just pause it.
  • No risk in normal play: a mob hitting you, or a caster attacking from range, is never affected.
04

Wildheart: the risky pull is actually risky

In this dungeon, pulling the boss Zulgar without clearing the route is supposed to wake the WHOLE dungeon against you. Except the far-away mobs used to turn back. Fixed.

The whole dungeon shows up, for real Dungeon

Pull Zulgar too early and every mob still alive comes for you, even from the far end of the dungeon. And if you run, they chase you.

See details

Good news though

  • An exit portal appears when Zulgar dies: no more walking all the way back.
  • To escape a botched pull: leave through the entrance portal, or die. Either way, the attempt is lost.
05

Boss fights are fairer

Two changes that will make group play much saner, plus some small conveniences.

Rift bosses take turns Rifts

Before, a boss could throw two big attacks at once (a fear + an explosion, say). Now there are always at least 5 seconds between two.

The tank no longer runs away Everywhere

A boss's area fear no longer affects the player tanking it. No more boss rampaging through the group because its tank is running around in a panic.

Conveniences Handy

  • A mailbox in every village in the game (all eleven zones).
  • Guild names now show on the leaderboards.
  • The game comes to the Epic Games Store, with account linking.

The new loot, and where to get it

It all happens in Wildheart Basin. Click a card for rates, a name for its Codex entry.

On normal mode New

The boss Zulgar drops a guaranteed green legs piece every kill, and the dungeon's rare mob drops a two-handed spear.

Items and rates

On heroic: 6 epics Epic

Six new epic items on the boss, roughly a 1 in 3 chance each — including two firsts for the game. And both rare mounts can drop here.

⚠️ The tank mount: not farmable Heads up

The update announces a tank mount, the Terrorspark Groundshaker. We checked the game's code: impossible to get for now. Don't waste your time.

Why
07

Farming is slower

The quietest change in the update, but you'll feel it fast.

Mobs respawn more slowly Economy

Before: 25 seconds everywhere. Now: 1 to 3 minutes depending on the zone (the higher the zone level, the longer). Farming a camp in a loop pays much less.

See details

And the money

  • Coin drops have been rebalanced: slightly less on most mobs, noticeably more in Wildheart Basin.
  • Rare mobs don't change: same respawn schedules as before.
08

For your class

Three changes worth knowing, and around a hundred small fixes.

Warrior: a lost ability, found Warrior

Seething Fury (20 rage instantly) existed in the game but nobody could learn it — a bug. It's fixed: it learns at level 10.

See the three changes

Mage Change

  • Greater Invisibility changes: the 90% damage reduction no longer protects during the invisibility. It kicks in when you reappear, for 2 seconds.
  • In short: still a great escape button, but no longer a 20-second shield.

Warlock Improvement

  • Your tank demon holds the enemies' attention on its own: no more toggling its taunt by hand.
  • And for everyone: around a hundred bug fixes (stuck gear, frozen invisibility, professions, login…).
