Patch notes v0.35.1

A maintenance release, and it owns it: no new content, no balance changes. Twenty commits given entirely to performance — mail that stops making the whole realm work, weapon effects and ground marks that lighten the bill at range, and a profiler that can name the next culprit. Nothing to relearn: same builds, same rotations, same loot. Just a server and a client that breathe.

01Quality of life & tech

The entire update fits under this one heading — rare enough to say out loud. Three performance jobs, two of which you can see on screen without losing any readability.

Mail stops weighing on the realm Server

Standing at a raven pillar re-sent your entire mailbox, letter bodies included, twenty times a second. It is now four times a second, and only when something actually moved.

Weapon effects fade with distance Rendering

The visual effects on weapon skins lose brightness with distance, down to 40% of their authored strength. A fade, never a disappearance — and nothing that matters in a fight is touched.

Ground marks lighten the bill Rendering

Spell auras and decals hug the terrain point by point. At range the game measures less than a third of them — without the mark’s footprint moving an inch.

Under the hood Performance

  • The commission order board was read in full, for every session, every tick: it too drops to four times a second and on change only.
  • Effect anchors now resolve without allocating every frame, and geometry uploads send only what the frame actually wrote instead of the buffer’s whole capacity.
  • A weapon effect already hidden by the far-distance silhouette swap no longer burns frame time on something no pixel can show.

Behind the scenes Maintenance

  • The tick profiler finally breaks the player-data broadcast down by key group: the next drift of this kind will be named by a capture rather than deduced. It costs nothing outside a capture.
  • A vulnerable dependency (nanoid) is pinned to a fixed version.
  • The admin console is complete across its 21 locales — that is the administrators’ tool, not the game client.

02So what about the game?

Nothing. And that is verified, not assumed: between v0.35.0 and v0.35.1 not one game content file — spells, talents, items, mobs, zones, recipes — is touched.

Your builds do not move Balance

Not a spell, not a talent, not a mastery, not a drop rate. The rotations on the Builds page and the WARFARE sets that landed in v0.35.0 are exactly what they were yesterday.

PvP, Professions, Delves and Mounts move to the v0.35.1 badge without a line to fix: there was nothing to fix.
