What's new in v0.44.1

Feral druids are the big winners: their Season 2 armor now comes with Strength, and a reworked set plus a brand-new staff speed everything up. Out in the world, PvP is all about the flag now — and the flag pays: +20% XP and reputation, five permanent titles.

01Classes & spells

One class concerned: the druid, whose Season 2 PvP gear gets fixed — and gifted a weapon of its own. No spell or talent changes for the other eight classes.

Feral moves to Strength Fixed

The five Bloodmane Hide pieces (Season 2 PvP) used to grant Agility: they now grant Strength, on the exact same budget.

Bloodmane Hide: everything speeds up Bonus

2-piece: Lunge and Bruin Rush recover 3s faster (9s and 12s). 4-piece: Dash recovers in 45s instead of 60s.

Vanguard's Feral Staff Epic

A two-handed staff locked to druids, 1,800 Honor at the quartermaster: 47–71 damage (3.0s), +19 Strength, +11 Stamina.

Dash no longer breaks stealth Fix

Dashing while stealthed (Prowl) keeps you hidden: it was a rogue Sprint privilege, and druids re-emerged exposed.

Other classes Unchanged

No spell, talent or class mechanic changes in v0.44.1 — not for Thundercall shamans, not for tanks, not for healers.

02Professions & gathering

No new recipe, enchant or material in this patch.

No change Unchanged

The 5 recipes and 7 enchants of v0.44.0 remain the latest; nothing is added.

03Dungeons, rifts & bosses

No new content: two solid fixes and a welcome preview.

The Buried Hoard opens for groups Fix

The Hoard chest refused to open when several players worked the claim: fixed, the whole group can now loot.

Weekly Vault preview New

Dungeon Finder gains a read-only tab showing what the Weekly Vault has in store before you commit.

Rift walkways Fix

Your character no longer goes "offline" walking on a rift's raised platforms.

04World & quests

The world doesn't change, but two World Quest bait-and-switches disappear.

Rewarded practice runs stay completed Fix

A rewarded practice run flipped back to "todo" after being cleared: it now stays completed.

Wisp maze: five guardians Fix

The maze wire decode only accepted four guardians: the fifth goes through now.

05Guild & social

The patch's big piece: World PvP is redesigned. No more free-for-all zones — everything runs on the flag, and the flag finally earns its keep.

No more free-for-all zones PvP

The three northern zones no longer make strangers hostile on sight: everywhere but the Proving Shore, it's flag versus flag — including Eastbrook Vale, now a contested zone.

Hills: every 2 hours, for 30 minutes PvP

Announced 15 minutes ahead, marked on the world map and minimap, a hill rises in the north and stands for 30 minutes. Setting foot on it raises your flag.

See details

The flag pays: +20% Reward

With the flag up, XP and faction reputation gain 20% — on kills and quests alike, the open world finally pays for the risk.

Five permanent titles Reward

Bold (1h), Defiant (3h), Dauntless (6h), Unyielding (24h), Indomitable (7 days): flagged playtime milestones, yours for life.

06Quality of life & tech

Small things that make life easier, in game and on desktop.

Shift to remove an action Interface

Taking an action off its bar slot now requires Shift: no more spell yanked away by a stray drag.

Bar layouts save for good Fix

A refused layout save stays pending instead of vanishing, and a specialization's bars arrive pre-seeded with its spells.

Death recap in the tooltip Fix

In the meter's Deaths tab, hovering a death finally shows its detailed recap, not damage dealt.

On desktop Tech

The client's shader cache is fixed (fewer stutters on first launch), legal links open in your system browser, and a networking dependency is patched for security.

What this means for you: if you play feral, your Season 2 finally became what it should have been — Strength, speed, and a staff to call your own. If you love the open world, raise the flag: +20% XP and reputation while you take real risks, and a title to show for it. And if you prefer peace, you are safer than before: nobody can attack you without your flag anymore, anywhere.
