The class overhaul. Eight classes out of nine get brand-new talents from level 5 to level 20: the paladin gains a resource, a resurrection and thirty-one spells; the warlock trades its demons for one pet per specialization; the hunter leaves mana behind for Focus. Behind that, a numbers-only retune brings eight specs into the 150–200 DPS band. And one whole feature the official notes never mention: the Reliquary, the game’s collection cabinet.

01The class overhaul
This is THE release: eight classes out of nine have all six talent rows (levels 5, 8, 11, 14, 17 and 20) rewritten, and a hundred and ten spells land. Only the mage crosses this patch without a single change.
Paladin: rebuilt from scratch Major
Thirty-one spells land, a Devotion resource appears, and all three specs are renamed. In exchange, Judgement, Divine Shield and Holy Wrath leave the game.

Warlock: one pet per spec Overhaul
Succubus, Felhunter and Felguard are gone. In their place: the Evil Eye for Hexcraft, a court of undead for Necromancy, the fire demons for Ruination.

Hunter: no more mana Resource
The hunter moves to Focus (100 points, nothing per level) and gains fifteen spells, including Pack Command and Stampede.

Warrior: Intervene Warrior ↓
The level-5 row swaps Double Charge for Intervene: a rush to a friendly player that shields them for 6 sec. It mints no rage and never flags you into combat.
Why: charges recharge in parallel, so Double Charge handed you two 25-yard gap closers and two 1-second stuns per cooldown — the mandatory PvP pick. Your saved choice carries over: it is the same slot with new content.
And the other four Talents
Rogue ↑: all three specs finally gain percentage attack power (up to +55% for Thuggery) and crit — the white swing, which is half their damage, scales with it.
Shaman ↑: Stormstrike goes from +25% to +80%, and Warspirit gains Unleash Weapon and its cadence.
Druid ↑: the Wildfang mastery triples both damage lines — physical and bleeds go from +15% to +50%.
Priest: Shadow comes down (see the band below), but Heal costs 30% less mana for Benison, and all three signatures change.
The 150–200 band Balance
A numbers-only pass brings eight specs into the same damage band over 120 seconds in best-in-slot gear. A ninth, the shaman’s Elemental, stays below the band and is tracked separately.

Honest white damage Fix
Auto-attack damage is no longer re-scaled by weapon speed: that figure was already baked into the weapon’s numbers, and counting it twice threw everything off.
The scale of it, measured in code: four weapons authored at an identical 15.0 dps actually delivered 12.9 / 15.0 / 22.7 / 25.6 depending on their speed. The bug alone had pushed sustained Fury from 147.2 to 186.3 DPS with no warrior change in between.
02The new items, and where to find them
Four daggers for rogues and hunters, plus the warlock’s soul stone. The rates come from the game’s own loot tables.
Four proc daggers Loot
Boneglass Shiv (rare) — from Old Cragmaw, in Thornpeak: 20%. Agility 7, Stamina 3, and a 6% chance to open a wound that bleeds for 6 sec.
Duskwhisper (epic) — from the Fanglord Beastmaster in the Wildheart Basin: 12%. Agility 12, with a shadow bolt on 8% of hits. Its heroic twin exists too.
Marrowpoint (epic) — from Cindraleth the Maw Matriarch in the Drakelands: 15%. Agility 13 and a heavy bleed.
Rimefang (epic) — from the Rifts, at epic rank. Agility 14, Stamina 8 and 40 crit: the most complete of the four.
All main-hand, rogue and hunter only, level 20 for the epics.
The Soul StoneWarlock
The warlock plants a Soulwell (3 sec cast, out of combat, 5 min cooldown) that stays on the ground for 3 minutes.
Every party member helps themselves and walks away with three stones, each restoring 25% of maximum health.
Soulbound, unsellable, not listable on the market: it is a raid consumable, not a currency.
03The Reliquary — the feature the notes forgot
The official v0.36.0 notes do not say a word about it. The code ships twenty-seven files and nearly ten thousand lines: a complete collection cabinet, very much present in the released build.
The cabinet New
375 slots across 35 pages and three shelves: Conquerors (dungeons, raid, rifts, PvP), Professions, Horizons (mounts, weapon skins, titles).
No power at all: the rank touches no stat, no drop rate, nothing. It is a seal, and it scores no Renown either.
Veterans are credited retroactively for what they already own.
The paladin learns to raise Quests
A two-quest chain — The Dawnbound Tome then The Rite of Recall — teaches Recall the Fallen: six Restless Bones returned to the earth, then eight Drowned Dead laid to rest in the mire.
The world remembers you Server
Your character-creator look finally persists per character and replicates to other players — until now it did not survive a login.
Retention sweeps arrive for player reports, bug reports and chat violations: they no longer pile up forever.
The game speaks 21 languages Localization
The release ships fully localized: 12,412 keys at zero pending rows, 10,970 of them filled for this release alone. On the Codex side, French names for the new content arrive on their own.
04PvP: draws count, seats refill
No new battleground — but half the complaints raised about Thornhollow Fields since it opened get an answer.
The draw exists Finally
Draws are recorded and your records read W-L-D on every surface. Careful: they count in the denominator — your win percentage drops mechanically.

Deserters get replaced Queue
An empty seat is refilled from the queue — but only while more than two minutes remain on the clock.
A queued group is never split in two: failing that, it is the solo who has waited longest.
You are not thrown into a lost cause: if the enemy team is one capture from winning, the seat stays empty.
Queue comfort Handy
The queue asks for confirmation before seating you in a match.
Your spot survives death and a dungeon pull.
You can respec inside the battleground, while out of combat.
The three honor titles are renamed Renaming
Sergeant, Knight-Lieutenant and Field Marshal were lifted verbatim from another game. They become Linebreaker, Fieldreaver and Warcrowned.
The thresholds do not move: 10,000, 40,000 and 150,000 lifetime honor — roughly 11, 44 and 167 committed days, and spending at the quartermaster still costs you nothing.
Pets in PvP Rules
Pets now assist against hostile players, not just against mobs.
They no longer out-detect their owner on stealth — the rogue is invisible to them again.
Finishing a duel clears the debuffs left on the opponent’s pet.
05Rifts: red circles you can actually see
“Very hard to see the red circles”: the player feedback on rift death zones was taken at its word, and the answer is measurable.
The telegraph never fades out Readability
The ring still pulses, but its opacity never drops below half.
The interior is always filled: what you read is the dangerous area, not just its rim.
A sweep shows the fuse burning down; it switches to urgent at 1.5 seconds from detonation.
A genuinely escapable fuse Rule
A zone’s duration was solved for a player at full run speed. Slowed or rooted, you could therefore be caught in a zone that was mathematically inescapable.
The fuse now stretches with your movement impairment — up to double, never more, so a permanent slow cannot freeze a zone forever.
Around the boss Comfort
While a telegraph is live, the boss’s control effects (roots, knockbacks, the anti-kite snare) no longer take your legs.
A detonation and a melee swing can no longer land in the same instant.
Rift boss cleave becomes a 180° frontal arc: standing behind means something again.
06Comfort & tech
The biggest performance campaign in a long while, and a handful of small things asked for over months.
Hunting the hitches Performance
Frame hitches are tracked by a frozen, calibrated referee, and world-entry link stalls are gone.
Loading times move preview prewarms and shader links off the critical path.
Compressed player skin atlases, frame-budgeted grass, bounded character caches, cheaper combat effects.
Two long-standing asks Interface
A Sort button in the bags: one press, everything tidied, filter and search reset.
Lifetime Time Played lands on the character sheet, hideable behind an eye for screenshots and streaming.
Party frames badge who is at heal range, and the attacker sees absorb floaters.
It sounds right Art & audio
The v0.36 artwork overhaul, and real attack animations for several mob families.
Recorded SFX, including all six warrior shouts — and the Flamestrike/Meteor mix-up is fixed.
Real sound for rift portals, hazards, gates and ice slides; an audible engine on the tank mount.
